Technical Director & Sound Designer

I’m a technical theatre and live events professional interested in the intersection of creativity, engineering, and production.

My background spans venue consultancy, sound design, and production management. I recently concluded my time as a Graduate Consultant in Arup’s Acoustics, Audiovisual and Theatres team, where I worked on the design of performance venues through technical drawing, specifications, AV systems design, and acoustic analysis.

Alongside this, I have worked as a freelance sound designer and theatre technician across Edinburgh and London, and as Technical Director at Counterminers, leading technical operations for new writing projects.

I am currently pursuing an MFA in Technical Design and Production at the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale, where I am developing my skills in technical direction, production management, consulting, and the practical delivery of live performance.

Assisted in theatre planning, audiovisual design, and technical problem-solving.
Work included designing a d&b soundscape loudspeaker system in a heritage 750-seat opera house; AV systems design for a game development company’s new Soho studios, including cinema-grade projection and surround sound; designing show lighting infrastructure and worklight control specifications for a classical concert hall in South Korea; and coordination of rigging infrastructure around original 19th-century stage machinery in a 900-seat theatre in Belgium.
